All Good Things...

The North Central Texas Enterprise Facilitation Corporation has worked in the Iowa Park / Electra region of Texas for two and a half years to stimulate entrepreneurship.  Operating funds have been contributed by individuals, the cities of Electra and Iowa Park, banking institutions and other community businesses.

We have taken on this project at the worst time in our economic history in an effort to be of service to the citizens of these two communities.  As of October 15, 2010, operating funds have been exhausted.  And as the saying goes, "All good things must come to an end."

My personal thanks go to those board members who invested themselves in the program through introductions to community leaders, referrals of prospective clients and the willingness to share experience with clients who needed help.  The model of the program is the barn-raising experience---where everyone lends a helping hand to build the barn.

Even though the project is not in operation, the spirit of entrepreneurship has been lifted up to encourage those with a passion for a business.  Hopefully, that spirit will grow and make the business dream a possibility when the economy in our nation improves.

Thanks to all who helped!
